I didn't get my certificate of destruction?
Some SPAM filters intercept our confirmation emails. Please set your mail filters to accept email from [email protected]. If you still don’t receive it, please email us at [email protected] and we would be happy to resend it to you.
Is shipping our sensitive material to you secure?
• When choosing Ship-n-Destroy Premium Service you receive a plastic lockable tote and 2 numbered locks, shipped inside an unmarked cardboard box. Our security professionals catalog the lock numbers before shipping your package to you. Once received back at our secure plant, we confirm the lock numbers and all paperwork.
• Our plant is NAID certified and operated by security professionals.
• Your shredded paper is mixed with thousands of pounds of other shredding to make re-construction impossible.
• UPS is the most trusted name in shipping. Their record for fast, reliable service is unmatched. Everyday they safely deliver checks, stocks, bonds, contracts and even diamonds.
• Today’s shipping processes are extraordinarily reliable. Most of the sensitive information that we destroy was originally delivered to our clients’ homes and businesses by postal, parcel, fax or email service. UPS provides better security than all of these delivery services.

Do I need special paper to print a label?
No, the label prints on a plain sheet of office paper on any ink-jet or laser-jet printer.
Why is Ship-n-Destroy better than my personal shredder?

Can we mix shipments like Hard Drives and Electronic Media?
Yes Material maybe combined into one box. Make sure to weight your box before shipping. Boxes weighing over 50 lbs will receive an additional surcharge.

Our plant follows strict guidelines set forth by NAID. We perform criminal background checks on all our Security Specialists. Regularly and randomly, NAID audits our facilities, personnel, equipment, and polices & procedures This ensures that your sensitive documents are safe and secure and all confidential materials are properly destroyed and recycled.
If I already have an account with UPS, or another shipper can I use my own labels?
No. For security and tracking purposes, we ask that you use Ship-n-Destroy’s account.
How long with it take for my Premium Service package to arrive?

Do you surcharge for overweight boxes?
Yes, we do surcharge for boxes that weigh over 50 lbs or that are oversized based on UPS’s shipping guidelines. UPS’s charges us an overage rate that will be passed on to you.
What size boxes can we use to ship our material?
A thirty pound box is about the size of a file box full of paper. The largest box we take is 50 pounds, about the same weight as typical office-style, security cabinet.
Do you offer a program for corporate accounts and volume discounts?

Is your shredding certified?
Yes. We certify destruction of each box received. You will receive an email with your certificate of destruction once your box is destroyed. Ship-n-Destroy’s secure plant is operated by SecurShred, an information destruction company that has been certified for hard drive destruction and plant-based and mobile operation by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID). SecurShred has been in business since 2000 and is an A-rated member of the Better Business Bureau.
May I use my own boxes, or do I have to buy yours?
You may use your own boxes but we do not guarantee it is the most secure method of shipping. We do however for tracking purposes ask that you use Ship-n-Destroys shipping account.
Do we have to remove staples, paperclips, binder clips, spiral notebooks etc?
No. We shred them up with the paper. After the material is shredded, magnets remove the metal and it is recycled.
Does Ship-n-Destroy service rural areas and small businesses?
Yes. We service all of the United States including bank branches, pharmacies, insurance agencies, lawyers offices etc. We service all customers, any size, anywhere.

What happens to the materials after they are destroyed?
Ship-n-Destroy uses end-of-life recyclers that comply with all State and Federal regulations. These recyclers, recycle your hardware into its raw materials for reuse. Our recyclers are located in the U.S. and use a “cradle to grave” tracking system. This assures that the electronic waste does not end up in the hands of other companies, landfills or illegally exported to other nations.
