Case Closed – When The Unclosable Program Takes Your Device

Have you ever received an email asking to “Read This,” you click on it and 10 more open? You hit “control-alt-delete,” and ANOTHER 10 more open? Welcome to the Unclosable nightmare that has sent many a laptop to it’s demise in our warehouse. So what can you do when a virus hits? Try this first:

Step 1: Enter Safe Mode. Do this by turning your computer off and on again.

Step 2: Delete Temporary Files. While you’re in Safe Mode, you should delete your Temporary Files using the Disk Cleanup tool.

Step 3: Download a Virus Scanner.

Step 4: Run a Virus Scan
